FlowMatrix Client Tool -- -Timeout error on opening tool - Notification client connects but desktop client does not.
Quick Action: Change a boolean value in the config file
Scenario: On a client PC even though the Notification client tool is connected to the server the Desktop Client tool errors with a popup assuring it can not ping the FlowMatrix server.
Action: For some reason there is a case where pinging a server is not possible but you can still communicate and authenticate to the same server. In such cases it is best to get the Ping config to false instead of true. Ensure the client popup is closed before doing this and saving. Once done it should be just a case of trying to open the tool again. Below is what it would look like before the change:
